What You Get

Each module will require 3-5 hours of work in your own time and will be followed up by a one to one session with me.

Three units intensive business and *accounting vocabulary

In these units we cover business culture, common accounting terminology as well as business vocabulary. At the end of this unit, you will not only be aware of how culture affects communication but you will also master the vocabulary, accounting terminology and business idioms, expressions, and phrases so that you can express yourself more confidently.

*If you don't want to do the accounting vocabulary, a suitable alternative will be provided.

Three units pronunciation and listening training.

Improve your clarity by looking more closely at pronunciation, intonation and fluency techniques. At the end of this unit, you will significantly improve your English communication clarity so your colleagues and clients can understand you clearly and you will have more confidence while attending meetings in English both in person and virtually.

Four Units - Practice, Practice, Practice

There are 4 units where we will practice all the material we looked at in the 1st six units. We will practise in all the different scenarios that you might find yourself needing to speak English confidently, such as one to one conversations, group meetings in person and virtual. At the end of this pillar you will feel a lot more confident when speaking English at work.

Ten one to one sessions
with me where we will go through your study material to assess what you need help with and to practise what you have learnt so that you can be confident to use it.

Vocabulary record system, especially designed by me to make sure the language you are learning is relevant and that you have a system that ensures you use what you are learning.

English for Accountants FAQ's

How is the English for Accountants Core Program structured?

The core program consists of ten sessions with me with four to six hours of guided self-study in between. For optimal results, I recommend that you have one session per week with me. However, you must complete the program within 12 weeks. You are expected to complete all the work before the session.

How long will it take me to complete the core program?

If you have one session a week with me and complete all homework, you will have raised your English level in ten weeks. The maximum you can take is twelve weeks. 

What materials do I get?

When do I have my sessions? Do you do evenings and weekends?

I have available time slots during working hours, in the evenings  as well as a few on Sundays (although these are very popular)
You will book your sessions through my booking site. This way you can choose times that suit you.

What's the difference between the core programs and bespoke sessions?

What if I can’t come to a session?

The core program is a set syllabus that I have spent 100’s of hours developing and perfecting and gives everything you need to become a more confident speaker in ten weeks. However, it means that you have to put in a lot of work to complete the assignments in time for your next session. This may not be suitable for you if you have a lot of other family and work commitments.

The bespoke sessions are adapted to your current situation. We will discuss, before and during sessions, how much self study you are able to do on a session to session basis. Materials such as course books, online lessons are provided and will vary based on what I think you need. If you don't have any time, all the materials will be covered in the lesson.

You will make good progress on either option. It’s just that bespoke sessions give you more flexibility.

If you choose bespoke sessions, you can have more than one session a week, if you don't have time for homework. You will also make good progress this way.

How is the English for Accountants Bespoke sessions structured?

When you sign up for  bespoke sessions, we will discuss what you need most and how much you want to do on your own. I will then suggest some course books that we can extract relevant materials from to cover what you need. We will also do speaking sessions, where you can bring me the English challenges you are having at work and we work through this and practise so that you can be more confident when at work. 

You can reschedule your session up to 24 hours before. You can do this by going to the booking system and rescheduling when it suits you. However, I do ask that you try to limit thi to three time through the duration of the program. This is to ensure continuity and the progress you expect.

You will be given all the materials you need for both options. You will receive your own copy of the worksheets and keep them all in a shared folder in Google Drive.
